 Tony Mikus is the founding member and charismatic leader of the band. He is an accomplished guitarist, extremely versatile singer, and an exceptional songwriter. In fact, he is Big Engine's primary songwriter. Tony is the driving force behind the band and due to his efforts; Big Engine has continued to perform at an exciting professional level for over 15 years.

Tony is the definition of professional rock vocalist. His balance between singer and entertainer is delightful to watch. He incorporates the audience giving the fans their chance to be a rock god/goddess for the night. Tony is shameless as he throws the mike in front of the crowd and allows them to abuse the ears of the poor and innocent onlooker.
He plays his guitar, belts the tunes and manages the whole time to stay in key, and stay attentive to all that goes on around him. Talk about multi-tasking, this dude did it all. The range of his vocals astounds me. It is rare to find a vocalist who can carry on at the magnitude and level as he did for over four hours.
